Good lord. I'm visiting from Austin where we have a good few smash burger spots (one that charges an outrageous $16 for only the burger) and this place smashes (pun intended) all of them out of park. The vibe is immaculate; the burgers are incredible; and the fries are to die for. I ordered their standard double smash & their chopped fries which I split with my wife and honestly think the fries are some of the best I've ever had ANYWHERE. They're like the most try-hard idealistic version of Weinerschnitzel's chilli cheese fries, it's amazing. Here's hoping they open a location in Austin, because a spot like this is in dire need and would make an absolute killing. Bravo.

This is a great place for a late night bite since they're open late on the weekend. I got a double smash burger and some fries, it did not disappoint. Unfortunately, I love trill burgers so although this was great it was difficult not to compare the two. This establishment definitely has a better price point though. I'd love to visit during regular hours to get the full experience. At night, they only have one window to take orders and to collect pick up orders. It's a bit awkward trying to "skip" the line without making the others waiting patiently think that you're cutting the line to place an order.

Burger Bodegaaaaaaa! Yesinfuckindeed honey! As many times as I've passed by BB, and as many times as I've read great reviews I've never made my way here. Most of the time it's packed AF and this is understandable given that the space is small. I appreciate the line control going on. I've been twice and both experiences were great. We were greeted upon entering. We ate inside on both occasions, thankfully there was seating availability. The first time we ordered: *IMPOSSIBLE Smash Burger- Double *Smash Burger- Double *Order of Fries The second time we ordered: *Chopped Fries *Order of Fries *IMPOSSIBLE Smash Burger- Triple (added tomato and lettuce) *Smash Burger- Triple Listen here - Burger Bodega can see me daily. That's dramatic, however, the impossible burger SLAPS! I went back to back. Given that the space is smaller, I'd prefer to get my food and dip. My dining friend didn't enjoy the chopped fries as much, so not getting those again. We are planning to return and try the screwed fries though. The parking lot is tiny. Additional parking on Center. The service is standard, and the food was prepared accurately during both dining experiences.

Why 4 stars? Because this is a great place to get your smash burger fix. --- --- --- My wife has been talking about wanting a good smash burger for weeks, maybe months. Sadly, I don't know of a single place that makes them on a regular basis near us in Montgomery Country. So when we had something to do in Houston, I knew that we finally needed to scratch her itch. I heavily debated ordering a triple instead of a double, and once I joined my wife at the table she was saving for us, she told me that she read that the doubles are pretty small. Damn. A minute late and a patty short. The burger was delicious, despite it's smaller size. Was it the best smash burger I've ever had? No, but it was really enjoyable and I'd happily eat it on a regular basis if it wasn't for that pesky hour commute. I also ordered the Chopped fries. As a teenager, I exclusively listened to chopped and screwed hip hop, so I appreciate the homage to that era on the menu. The fries did not taste like music in 2001 sounded, but they were tasty. The style of the place is top notch and extreme Houston themed. Even if you don't love the food, you have to appreciate that every square inch of this place is visually as good as it gets.

I love a great local business and this one screams it with full colors ! From the outside, you see that vibey yellow red unique font, early spot to understand there will be burgers inside. And parking nearby, it smells so good already!!! There was a bit of a lineup outside and understandably, managing the crowd inside. Although, they do have outdoor seating, upstairs like a fancy rooftop! The menu is easy: two types of burgers. Patties or chopped. How many patties, or how spicy, which sauce. The challenge is to choose from these two choices ! Or get both?!? Lol Fries are delicious !!!!! I wanna ask them next time... I wonder if they double fry them because they come it so crispy! Yellow, shiny, burning fresh hot, crispy. Even as the chopped fries, which is mixed with their house Bodega sauce, and cheese and beef and bell peppers and onions, these fries stay crispy?!? Coke products from the soda machine but freshly maintained as that soda was so bubbly. I saw them carrying some Mexican coke too, but that wasn't going to cut it enough for all the food. Hahaha I saw many customers with milkshakes ! Definitely a sign for a thing to try. I have so enjoyed their decor. Houston represent all around ya. Even the ketchup are "HOU Heinz Ketchup" ! Staff was very very kind and helpful. After ordering at the counter, the staff asked me: "Could you do one thing for me please? Have a wonderful day! " Way to make an impression last. The beauty of Houston, let's go !

Ok ok ok I get the hype now!! I've been wanting to try burger bodega for the longest now, and I'm so glad I got to try it out today. I got the single smash burger with some fries and I thought it was great. I don't even eat burgers like that but I would gladly come back here. The parking and seating is limited but I think it's worth trying this place out!

Yeah. It's worth all the hype. what a lively experience!! Service was friendly, fast, and accommodating. Food came out fast and fresh. There was a line going out the building but it moved super fast ! The staff here is consistently cleaning and wiping down tables for new customers and checking in on customers once they were seated. The burgers here are flavorful and filling ! Fries are hot and crispy, cheese sauce and bodega sauce were the perfect addition to the fries and burger ! Ending the meal with the perfect chocolate shake. 10/10 experience would come here again.

Service was great here, the staff is friendly and attentive to customers. The restaurant itself has a retro aesthetic, making it a great spot to dine in. We ordered a smash burger double, and smash burger triple, both as is. The burgers had a great texture, but the flavor was lacking a bit. Most of what I got coming through was grease and cheese. We also got the screwed and original fries. These were great! The crispiness was perfect and the sauce on the screwed fries was addicting. For dessert I got the Vietnamese coffee milkshake. The coffee flavor wasn't coming through very much but the milkshake was delicious! I think this place is worth the try, the shake and fries are great!

Move all the way over Shake Shack! Burger Bodega is where it's at! Ambiance: Laid back and chill. The inside is very small, and the line is frequently out the door; however, customer service is top notch. Food: Plain and simple, the burgers are out of this world. I love a good burger. Shake Shack and Capital Burger are my faves for burgers, but Burger Bodega has got the sauce lol. The burgers are smashed and drool-worthy. You're able to choose a number of toppings, and honestly, everything just literally melts in your mouth. So good. I definitely can see them expanding into other parts of the U.S. and exceling! We're waiting in DC/MD!
